Transforming a 1980’s prefab modular bank building into a transitional/traditional modern bank design was the goal of this renovation project. First Community Bank at 9310 Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County appears to be a brand new 1700 square foot building. But the new structure was actually built right over the existing building. All new mechanicals, metal standing seam roof, exterior Hardy concrete shingle finishes, windows and interior finishes were combined with a reconfiguration of the interior spaces. The new design also includes a new drive up window with canopy.
